Anna Gunn

Anna Gunn was born in the United States. She is best known for her part as Skyler White on the AMC Drama series Breaking Bad for which she won the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting actress in an Drama Series in 2013 and 2014. As well as playing Martha Bullock and Jean Ward, she has appeared in The Practice. She was born in Sante Fe, New Mexico in the year 1968, Anna Gunn fell in love with the art of acting at Preparatory School, before her family relocated to Ohio during the latter part of 1970. She spent a year at the British American Drama Academy and took classes in theatre through Northwestern University. Anna performed in Chicago's theater for several years, before trying out for film and TV role. Anna had her biggest break in 1992 when she appeared as Arden for 29 episodes of Down the Shore. Following her appearance as a Guest on several TV shows and movies, including Seinfeld and NYPD Blue in the 90's, she was cast as Jean Ward as part of The Practice. Martha Bullock, a character she played for two years in Deadwood's second season. Skyler was Her Breaking Bad role from 2008. Sully and Deadwood was another movie she starred in. Gunn was on stage for David Schwimmer's Sex With Strangers. In 2022 the actress also starred in a four-part audio-play podcast titled"Numbered Days. Breaking Bad often revolves around Walter White and Skyler's relationship. The strains and eventual end reflect the final decades in the story of Walter White.
